2 cup all purpose flour 1 tbsp baking powder 2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1/4 cup shortening 2/3 cup milk |

| Directions: | ||
| Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In large bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk. On lightly floured surface, kneed dough gently 10 to 12 strokes. Pat dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into disired shapes. Bake on sheet 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. |
