Ingredients:
1 qt milk
6 package bread yeast
6 C flour
1 C sugar
1/2 lb citron
1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp cardamom seed
1 tbsp lemon extract
1 package large puffed raisins
6 C flour
Directions:
Scald milk. Add 1 c softened butter. Cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast packets and 6 c. flour to make soft sponge. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

Add remaining 7 ingredients to make bread dough. Let raise until double in bulk.

For loaves: Make in to loaves, let raise. Before putting in oven, brush tops with beaten egg yolks. Bake 1 hour.

OR

For round traditional shaped bread: Knead lightly on floured board until dough is coated with flour and not sticky. Divide and shape into three round loaves. Place on oiled 8
