3/4 cup buttermilk, at room temperature 1/2 cup Clear soda (7UP) 1 large Egg 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon cooking oil (think of the flavor you want) |

| Beat egg. Combine with all other ingredients except the clear soda. Mix until lumps are gone. Mix in the clear soda just before you are ready to pour batter on the griddle. Fry the cake jus as you would any pancake. |
