3 C flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoon salt 1/2 C Finely chopped fresh chives 1 1/2 C grated extra sharp cheddar 2 C Heavy Cream (+some additional for brushing) |

| Directions: | ||
| Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add chives and cheddar, tossing to combine. Stir in cream with a fork until sticky dough forms. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead eight times with floured hands. Divide dough in half and form into two-7 inch rounds. Brush the tops of rounds with additional cream and cut each into eight wedges. Arrange wedges about 1/2 inch apart, on an ungreased large baking sheet and bake in middle of the oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Cool on rack. |
