0.5 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg 0.75 cups butter or margarine, softened 0.25 cups sugar 1 each large egg 1 each Sunkist® orange -grated peel 1 each Sunkist® orange , peeled, diced and drained 1 each apple, unpeeled, cored and chopped 2 cups quick oats, uncooked 0.5 cups walnuts or pecans, chopped |

| Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease 17x14 inch baking sheet. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar, beating well with wooden spoon. Add egg and Sunkist orange peel, beat well. Gradually stir in dry ingedient mixture. Stir in Sunkist orange and apple pieces, oats and nuts. Scoop 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie onto prepared pan; 6 to 9 cookies will fit on the pan at a time. Pat scooped cookie dough to 3-inch rounds. Bake for 17 to 20 minutes, or until edges just start to brown. Cool on pan for a minute or two; gently lift onto wire racks to cool completely. For soft cookies, store in airtight container. Or, store loosely covered for crisp cookies. |
