Description: The only way I really like to eat fish. Good with Cod, Tilapia, Whitefish, or any other reasonably mild fish, but my favorite is with Cod!
Time: 20 min (10 min to prepare, 10 min to cook)
Meal type: Main Dish
Ethnicity:
Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients:
2 pieces Desired Fish
1 cup Plain or Seasoned Breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 small Lemon
1 tablespoon Hot Mustard
2 tablespoons Margarine or Butter
1/4 cup Flour
1 large Egg
Directions:
Mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder and oregano together in a shallow bowl. Put flour in another shallow bowl and beat the egg together with the hot mustard in a third shallow bowl. Roll lemon on a counter or table to release juices, slice in half and drizzle juice onto fish. Dip fish first into flour, then into egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs. Melt butter/margarine in a large pan and lay fish in pan. Cook on one side until golden brown, then turn and cook until other side is golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
