Description:
Time: 35 min (15 min to prepare, 20 min to cook)
Meal type: Snack
Ethnicity: American
Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients:
1 each note - plantains shouldn't be squishy/too soft to slice proplerly... as they don't slice well/fry well
1 each A box of brown sugar (so you can use as much as you want)
1 each As many browned plantains as you want to make
1 each Big bottle of corn oil, palm oil or coconut oil
1 each Lots of Corn
1 each Big Pot
Directions:
* Slice browned plantains chip style while heating a pot of corn oil to bubbling point... (or palm or coconut oil)...
* When oil is to bubbling point pour in as much brown sugar as you want and stir well...
* Then add the plantains and deep fry until they're as deep fried as you want them...

note - the brown sugar will coat each and every plantain fully and when cooling will become "candied plantains"...

They are really good - I've made them before for get togethers...
