1 lb Soy meat crumbles 2 garlic cloves -- coarsely chopped 1/2 large onion -- chopped 4 teaspoons chili powder 3 tablespoons margarine or vegan butter 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp basil and thyme 15 ounce diced tomatoes, with juice 15 ounce red beans, drained 15 ounce tomato juice, to thin out |

| Sautee onions and garlic. add butter and soy crumbles and let cook while stirring occasionally for fifteen minutes. add water and or more butter if mixture starts getting dry. add spices, red wine vinegar, and sugar, stir. add tomatoes and beans. thin out to desired consistency with tomato juice. bring to a boil slowly, and then move to simmer for one hour. |
