Directions:
Grease a 1.2 litre pudding basin and have ready a saucepan large enough to hold the pudding basin.Put the fruit into a large bowl with the candied peel and the almonds.
Sift the flour, salt and spices on top of the fruit, then add the sugar, breadcrumbs and margarine or suet.
Mix well, then stir in the grated lemon rind and juice.
Add enough of the soya milk and rum to make a soft mixture which will fall heavily from the spoon when you shake it.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.Mix all ingredients in bowl and place in 1-1/2 quart lightly oiled ovenproof dish.
Bake, uncovered, for 3 hours, or until the pudding sets.
Fennel Salad

Directions:
1. Make 4 vertical cuts, crossing in the centre, in each radish.2. Soak in iced water for 2-3 hours or until the petals open.
Drain.
3. Cut the fennel bulbs lengthwise in half and cut out the hard core
. Slice very finely.
4. Cut the carrots into matchsticks and dice the apple.
5. Mix the lemon juice into the vegetables, and then toss with the mayonnaise.
Pile into a salad bowl and garnish with the radishes.

Crush 1 package of Hydrox cookies and mix the crumbs (reserve some for garnish) with about 1/2 stick melted margarine (vegan).Press the mix into the bottom and part way up the sides of a large 12" springform pan.
Set into freezer while you make the filling.

Directions:

Directions:
Pan roast rye flour in 1 tbsp sesame oil until darkened.(This creates a heavenly aroma!)
Mix flours together with salt. Add caraway seeds.
Add oil, rubbing flour between hands until oily.
Add carrot pulp, and mix well.
Add boiling water, using spoon to mix until dough begins to form, and then hands.
Keep hands cool by dipping them in a bowl of cool water.

Directions:
Soak the beans overnight.Drain off water and put the beans into a crockpot with 6 cups fresh water.
Scrub, but leave the skin on, the potatoes and chop.
Chop the carrots and celery too.
Add the parsley, olive oil and any other seasonings you like.
To thicken the soup and make it creamier, I take a cup of the soup water out and add a few tablespoons of flour to it and mix, then pour it back into the crock pot.
Cook all day on low, or 6-8 hours...
